Opera at The Monastery
Pacific Opera returns to St Clement's Galong, presenting a range of well loved arias for two concerts in the unique setting of the Chapel at St. Clement's Monastery in Galong on October 22 and 23.
The Magic Flute
Pacific Opera is proud to be taking Magic Flute on tour! Yes, there's a first time for everything... We will present an inspirational English language concert version of The Magic Flute with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra on 9th July at Llewellyn Hall.

Our program develops the most surprising muscles... while learning to sing Hansel & Gretel English, Eva Kong built muscles in her cheeks! Italian, German, French and her native Korean – no worries - but English was weight lifting 101.

Within the Young Artist Development Program, gifted opera babies like 18 year old Emily Edmonds are able to grow musically and dramatically in a supportive environment, getting ready to crack the industry without suffering burnout along the way.

Our Program has taken Julia from choral singing at Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s and Notre Dame Cathedral into the highly emotional world of opera. With stops along the way as an actor, Julia is navigating the High Cs and beyond.

Architect, Jemaine, has taken a while to "come out" as an opera singer but we're glad she's finally done it. The Program has given her the space she needs to try out her opera chops and the results are great.

From Sydney to Vienna and back, Angela Brun's fantastic year culminates in singing Queen of the Night as part of our Program and covering Lakme for Opera Australia.

Our singers appear from the most interesting places. An economic refugee from Iceland, Dora arrived as a mixed up mezzo and after a year in our Program, has begun singing with Opera Australia.
