WalkUp Opera - Sunday morning, 28 November 2010
When: Sunday morning, 28 November 2010.
- Start your walk between 8 and 9 am.
- Continental Breakfast on arrival at Sydney Dance Café, Pier 4/5 Hickson Road
- Beautiful young artists will serenade you from 10.30 am. Event concludes at 12 noon.
Where:
Route 1: Art Gallery of New South Wales
Meet Pacific Opera volunteers at the northern end of the Art Gallery of New South Wales and collect your pass. Walk around the shoreline via Mrs. Mac’s Point, Opera House (long or short route) boardwalk by Park Hyatt, under the Harbour Bridge to Wharf 4/5 Hickson Road where breakfast awaits you at Sydney Dance Café.

Route 2: Milson’s Point
Meet the Pacific Opera volunteers at Milson’s Point at the foot of the stairs to the Harbour Bridge footpath and collect your pass. Walk over the bridge and circle down through Argyle Street to the West Circular Quay shoreline, Park Hyatt boardwalk, under the bridge to Wharf 4/5 Hickson Road where breakfast awaits you at Sydney Dance Café.
Entry:
By pass issued at the beginning of your walk. Pass issued to registrants only. No passes issued at the Sydney Dance Café.

$50 payable by credit card in advance, or by cash on the day (no credit card payments on the day) - plus any sponsorship money*
* Pacific Opera is a not for profit organisation and we need to raise funds to survive – simple as that. Your $50 is a welcome and generous contribution which will enable us to hold this event and, we hope, bring more opera lovers into the Pacific Opera circle.
Fundraising Prize:
If you can wring some extra cash from those family and friends who exclaim “I’d like to see that!” when you tell them you’re about to get up early on a Sunday morning and walk several kilometers to listen to opera (!!!), then that would be fabulous for us. The walker who raises the most money will receive an outstanding prize – instead of walking over the Bridge or under it, you’ll be climbing it! That’s right, a Sydney Bridge Climb Experience valued at $198 will be yours to use or give away.
